Zapier MCP for Zed: setup with remote MCP server settings

Connect Zed to Zapier MCP by adding a remote server in MCP server settings with the Zapier URL, then authenticating with your Zapier account over OAuth.

This page shows how to connect Zed to Zapier MCP as a remote MCP server.

Before you begin

• A Zapier account.
• Zed installed.

Connect Zapier MCP to Zed

In Zed:

1. Open MCP server settings

   In Zed, open your MCP server settings.

2. Add a remote server

   Click Add server, then Add Remote Server, and enter the following values:

   • Server name: zapier
   • URL: https://mcp.zapier.com/api/v1/connect

   Leave Headers, Timeout, and OAuth Client ID blank.

3. Authenticate

   Save the server and authenticate with your Zapier account when prompted.

You’ve now connected Zapier MCP to Zed.
