Zapier MCP for ChatGPT: setup with a custom plugin

Connect ChatGPT to Zapier MCP by turning on developer mode and creating a custom plugin with the Zapier server URL, then authenticating your Zapier account.

Before you begin

• A Zapier account.
• A ChatGPT plan that supports developer mode and custom plugins.

Connect Zapier MCP to ChatGPT

In ChatGPT:

1. Turn on developer mode

   Open ChatGPT Security and login settings and turn on Developer mode.

2. Create your plugin

   Go to Plugins and click the + to create a new plugin.

   1. Name it Zapier MCP.

   2. Paste this URL as the MCP server URL:

      https://mcp.zapier.com/api/v1/connect
      

   3. Leave the authentication setting as-is and click Create.

3. Connect your account

   Click Connect, then sign in to your Zapier account.

You’ve now connected Zapier MCP to ChatGPT.
