Zapier MCP for Cursor: setup with the marketplace plugin

Connect Cursor to Zapier MCP by installing the Zapier plugin from the Cursor marketplace, then pasting a setup prompt into an Agent chat and authenticating.

Before you begin

• A Zapier account.
• Cursor installed and up to date. Some older versions have a known OAuth issue, so update Cursor before you start.

Connect Zapier MCP to Cursor

1. Copy the prompt

   Copy the prompt below:

   Set up Zapier MCP for me. Call get_zapier_skill with name "zapier:onboarding" and follow its instructions. If authentication is needed, help me through it, then retry.
   
2. Install the Zapier plugin

   Install the Zapier plugin from the Cursor marketplace.

   

   Install the Zapier plugin

   Open the Cursor marketplace and install the Zapier plugin.

3. Paste the prompt into Cursor

   Open a new Agent chat in Cursor, paste the prompt, and follow the instructions.

   When prompted, authenticate with your Zapier account.

   Some versions of Cursor have an RFC 9728 OAuth issue that prevents authentication from completing. If authentication fails repeatedly, update Cursor to the latest version and try again.
